EW Disco will have a few A320 stationed in MUC:
Eurowings Discover to station five A320s in MUC from summer 2022 onwards
Station in Munich to be exclusively short-haul base
Even before its maiden flight on July 24, one thing is certain: Eurowings Discover will open its own station in Munich in summer 2022, where the young Group Airline will permanently station five Airbus A320s. Eurowings Discover will thus complement its long-haul and medium-haul services from the Frankfurt hub with long-haul and short-haul/medium-haul tourist services from the Munich hub. The Eurowings Discover station in Munich will be exclusively a short-haul base. The Airbus A330s from the Eurowings Discover fleet will not be based in Munich for the time being – they will fly in and out of Munich, but will remain based in Frankfurt. “We are delighted to be able to offer our customers in the Bavarian capital a truly holistic service from summer 2022. With our A320 base in Munich and full integration into the Lufthansa route network, we will also be offering our guests great connections to short- and long-haul tourist destinations from Munich from summer 2022,” said Helmut Wölfel, Chief Commercial Officer Eurowings Discover.
Eurowings Discover will fly from Frankfurt to Mombasa, Zanzibar, Punta Cana, Windhoek, Las Vegas and Mauritius from summer 2021. The young hub airline’s long-haul offering will be joined by Bridgetown, Montego Bay and Varadero from November 2021, as well as the Canary Islands, Egypt and Morocco on short- and medium-haul routes. From summer 2022, Eurowings Discover will fly travelers from its Munich hub to the long-haul destinations of Punta Cana, Cancún and Las Vegas. Short- and medium-haul destinations from Munich will be added to the Eurowings Discover flight schedule over the course of summer 2022. The 2022 summer flight schedule will be published in September 2021.
