If there's a hotel at or connected to your meeting location, I would stay there unless there's something objectively wrong with that hotel. Location, location, location as real estate agents say.
It will also foster networking opportunities to stay where others from your meeting are staying, which means the closest hotel unless there's a different headquarters or highly suggested/discounted property.
