If travel is back to this volume then they need to find a better system with prioritization and a queue system. Shouldn’t an SE or someone in paid J get priority over a guest pass with no status, or someone who chooses to arrive 4+ hours early for their flight vs someone who is connecting and needs somewhere quiet to work between flights?
Other airlines seem to have solutions to overcrowded lounges, and while I appreciate the “to go” bag, food isn’t my only motivation for going to the lounge.

IIRC, it was mentioned on this forum quite a while back that some J pax etc might not be happy to hear they can't enter.

AC had time to develop a solution to this regardless of whether it was quiet up until May. There is no such thing as not knowing people would be flying. The minute they started having 20% sales would have already been late. They also need to have more than 1 desk agent in YVR and YYZ - especially as those lounges currently also handle international pax.
Maybe someone who is a high value customer will let AC know. Or post photos of the lines on Twitter etc.
