Prices are extremely high regardless of the brand. Moreover, the reviews are devastating even on Marriott’s own website. “Worst experience ever.” “Avoid this hotel at all costs.” “ Service nonexistent.” It seems that there is huge pent up demand and hotels are not staffed to handle. It will be interesting to see what happens in September when school starts. The demand may evaporate with business travel no where near where it was and families not traveling. Hopefully then we can return to some level of normalcy. Then perhaps Marriott may find a renewed appreciation for its elites. Right now they don’t have to care.
+1 on this Ritz. This used to be a favorite amongst consultants travelling in the area for Capital One + Deloitte/PwC/EY/BDO/Booz Allen/RSM. The demand prior to COVID here was huge and often sold out well weeks in advance. When I was there - the service has been excellent it was just extremely difficult due to # of occupants. I was a well frequent in that hotel for well over 55+ weeks at one point and when I stayed there Thursday/Sunday night (when there was almost 0% consultants - the service and attention was excellent).
