Even on its deathbed, Alitalia still keeps you guessing. I happened to check my AZ reservation today and it was now departing two days later, on Oct 1st. So I called and was told that they are not flying the FCO-LAX route at all in September and service starts Oct 1. Also, reports today say that Alitalia finally expires on Oct. 15th and ITA begins. Curious.
