I got my Priority Pass earlier this year and I've never had a problem using it at any Prez Club. They don't even ask you for your ticket. All they do is take a swipe or scan of the card (or at some clubs they write the number down) and then have you sign the log for your visit. If you didn't need a BP to get through security, you could visit the PClub even without flying anywhere!

I vacillated between the AMEX Plat and the PPass for a long time, and I finally went with the PPass. If you're just getting the AMEX Plat for the club access, PPass is less expensive and gets you into more clubs in many more places. There are a few airports around the world where the PPass club is not necessarily the nicest one or in the terminal you want it to be in. But overall, IMHO, you can't beat it.
