Award flight (segment) cancellation. How much can I ask?
Hi,
I had an UA award booked JFK-VNO-EWR (07/28 - 08/16) operated by LO and SK. Today I received an email that on my return SK cancelled first segment and moved me to a different SK flight leaving very early morning instead of noon and my connection in CPH now is over 5 hours instead of original 55 minutes. At this point there are no other award options available. Would it be reasonable for me to ask for UA to move me to LH flight that does not have award seats (VNO-FRA) and UA to take me FRA-EWR and wave the required miles difference, this still has early departure however connection is 3 hours? Anything else I should try?
