I received a travel voucher for a cancelled flight and as mention it expires a year from issue. So if I book a flight six months and then cancel the flight will those funds only be good for six more months or will it be good for a year from booking?

I am pretty sure it's the former, so like a travel fund that can no longer be extended. The only difference is it is not tied to any specific person.
