Did you get this resolved? I have the same issue, and wondered if it was a sync problem or if the Verifly app sends data to AA at set times?
When we left PVR, my account in Verifly showed green. So did companions. But AA let him check in, but even 4 hours prior to boarding, mine still wouldn't let me check in.
However, we had NO issues at the airport when checking in at the AA desk.
