For those hating on the low A gates, just remember what we had there for a while at IAD: Concourse G.

Those low A gates are infinitely better than G.

What I worry is that by the time they get around to building the "permanent" midfield concourse, I'll be long gone from the earth (and I'm in my 40s). These are not short-term projects, and there has been absolutely zero movement on replacing C/D since they updated the IAD master plans back in the early 2000s (when IIRC they had pie-in-the-sky plans to add multiple new midfield concourses). Between the necessary studies, reviews, and approvals, then the construction, even with buy-in from UA and MWAA today, we'd likely be talking about 2030 at the earliest, 2040 more likely.
