Bumping / rephrasing a question I have for clarity:

I have 4 one way first class segments on Alaska in September. I currently have 3141 of 4500 EQD towards Platinum, or 7000 to Platinum Pro. Each segment earns between 1050-1100 EQD. My first leg will take me to approx 4200 EQD. Aka, I'll still be gold. Would I be losing out if I didn't find a way to earn $300 EQD real quick before taking the remaining legs? I don't think I'll have any benefit on Alaska as either Platinum OR Pro since I am already in first class... am I right to assume that a status change before my 2nd flight would only benefit me via a few redeemable miles? I haven't a clue how to calculate EQM on Alaska for AA in first. My flights are LAX-SEA-FLORIDA (FLL or MCO) and reverse. I have to imagine the 20 percent bonus between gold and platinum won't exceed $300 so perhaps I answered my own question.

I see only Pro gets Alaska first class lounge access, but as I am flying first class anyway (albeit domestic) I believe I am eligible.

Side question: During last year's Q4 EQM/EQD rollover, did partner earned Ms and Ds count? Wondering it they may try the same this year, seeing as some other programs have larger accelerator setups?
