Bonvoy more broken than usual today?
BLUF: I'm trying to get an issue resolved with points posting incorrectly (shocker), and I can't get a hold of a phone rep regardless of wait time, menu tree selection etc. I got hung-up on by the system twice. Is anyone else experiencing similar issues today/past week?
Last week, I completed a points stay at the Glenmark Hotel (Tribute) in CA. [Hotel was excellent, btw]. There were ancillary parking and food charges that added up to appx $70. Today, the stay showed up on my Bonvoy account with 0 points credited, but the bill clearly states $70 worth of charges to the room. I should at least earn points for those charges at the Titanium rate. So, I call the Titanium # to start a ticket (because its seemingly the only thing that works anymore) and I ended up getting hung up on TWICE by the system, after waiting 15+ minutes each time.
Yes, I know this is only about ~1000 points in this instance, but this is symptomatic of larger issues that are well-documented on this forum and that finally hit me personally today. Why is this company so bad at doing the one thing they're marketing (a seamsless rewards/accrual experience) to the end consumer?!? And yes, I know the true customers are the property owners, but this is just sad. 30 more nights to go until lifetime plat (I'm still incorrectly showing as 8 years...), then I'm likely done with Marriott. No reason to stay with a brand this incompetent for so long; I'll take my ~80 nights per year somewhere else.
