I don't see how that would work. We don't carry passports on domestic travels, but the ID shown would have been my wife's, not mine. They don't ask for ID for any other guests staying in the room. And this would have been our first stay at this property under her name, so there wouldn't be any guest history to track.

The only thing I can think of, and it's a stretch, is the Chateau Lake Louise knew we were arriving in LL from Jasper. Maybe a very proactive person at the CLL called Jasper.
