the 2 times I have had to do self isolation I have booked an Airbnb. There is some great value to be had at the moment with reduced tourism numbers. Both times I have rented a full house with some outdoor space for a fraction of the price of a hotel. There is also lots of Airbnb rentals in apartment buildings with good amenities and roof decks.

edit to add:
I can’t imagine anything worse than staying in a hotel for the 5-10 days isolation. If they know you are in isolation they might be difficult about you using their public facilities and I have never been to a hotel that was good about bringing outside food deliveries to my room in a prompt manner if that’s a concern for you if you chose to take isolation seriously.

being in a house/apartment means you don’t have a front desk clerk policing your quarantine, you can order outside food with ease, you can have visitors to your outside space if you want to see friends/family, and you can have comforts of home that you won’t find in a hotel.
