COVID-19 TRAVEL ALERTS
- Covid-19 Test or Vaccination Required: Passengers are not permitted to enter Portugal if not holding either a negative RT-PCR test result (or similar NAAT test) tested within 72 hours prior to boarding, or a Rapid Antigen Test tested within 48 hours prior to boarding, or an EU Digital Covid Certificate.
The EU Digital Covid Certificate is accepted in either digital or paper format, and it must contain one of the following:
- A vaccination certificate proving that the passenger has been fully vaccinated for at least 14 days;
- A negative RT-PCR test result (or similar NAAT test) tested within 72 hours prior to boarding or a Rapid Antigen Test tested within 48 hours prior to boarding; or
- A certificate of recovery proving that the passenger has recovered from Covid-19, after a positive NAAT test result tested between 11days and 180 days prior to travel.
This does not apply to crew members and passengers aged under 12 years old.
- Covid-19 Form Required: Passengers must complete a Passenger Locator Card (Cartão de Localização de Passageiro) after check-in. This may be completed in hard copy or submitted online.
- Covid-19 Quarantine on Arrival: Passengers travelling from Brazil, India, Nepal or South Africa, or whose journey originates in one of these countries, or holding a passport with a departure registry from one of these countries in the past 14 days prior to arrival, must quarantine for 14 days on arrival at their residence or a location designated by Portuguese health authorities.
This does not apply to:
- Passengers travelling for essential purposes, provided holding a return ticket confirming that their stay in Portugal will not exceed 48 hours;
- Passengers travelling for international professional sports competitions (as listed in Portuguese Order No. 6794-A/2021 9JUL);
- Passengers who are part of foreign delegations and travelling to participate in meetings under the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union; or
- Crew members.
- Covid-19 Quarantine on Arrival: Passengers travelling from the United Kingdom, or whose journey originates in the UK (regardless of their place of transit), or holding a passport with a departure registry from the UK in the past 14 days prior to arrival, must quarantine for 14 days on arrival at their residence or a location designated by Portuguese health authorities.
This does not apply to:
- Passengers travelling for essential purposes, provided holding a return ticket confirming that their stay in Portugal will not exceed 48 hours;
- Passengers who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 in the UK, provided that at least 14 days have passed since the first dose of Janssen, second dose of the Astra Zeneca, Moderna or Pfizer vaccine, or the first dose of Astra Zeneca, Moderna or Pfizer vaccine provided that the passenger holds proof of recovery from Covid-19 and that the recovery is indicated in the vaccine certificate;
- Passengers travelling for international professional sports competitions (as listed in Portuguese Order No. No. 6794-A/2021 9JUL);
- Passengers who are part of foreign delegations and travelling to participate in meetings under the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union; or
- Crew members.

Masks acceptable are N95/KN95/surgical masks. Surgical masks come in many colors. Cloth mask are not allowed and we give out blue surgical masks to passengers who don't have the correct mask.
