We found the food to be good but somewhat inconsistent. The Steak dish and fish dish at Manta were excellent but the sides made no sense (options were plain steamed rice or guacamole to accompany a dry aged steak??). I love spices food but the aguachile was spicy to the point of inedible. I can only assume a kitchen error on that night. I was disappointed that they were out of the grilled octopus at Manta, and out of Lobster for breakfast. Chilaquiles with steak were excellent, as was the pool food.

I recommend a room not on the top floor. There were two weddings this weekend, both rented out Glimpse on the rooftop for their after party. From my room on the 5th floor, I felt like I was in the DJ booth. At least they ended at 11PM, but I’m old and wanted to go to sleep early 😁

Overall it was OK, but felt a bit clubby for my taste. Maybe it would have been different without the multiple weddings going on.
Sounds like we had very similar experiences! The Cape really needs to provide some hospitality training to its front desk staff. I hadn't experienced such a cold, unwelcoming vibe in a long time from a Hyatt property, especially as Globalist. I thought maybe it was just a one-off, but upon check-out I got the same unwelcoming attitude. The Cape is a nice enough hotel, but the lack of warmth and hospitality does not have me in a huge hurry to get back.
