Yeah 72hr rule is gone. It’s just change fee that’s still in place for anything that originates outside North America (waived for DM/PM).

Plus international origination is subject to significant surcharges for taxes/fees.

If flying in Y, it may be cheaper just to buy the ticket but YMMV
