I have been getting selected for additional screening A LOT in recent months; examining my phone, or my carryon bag(s), and sometimes manual pat downs. Note this is not me going through security scanners with any alarm-able objects, but me getting selected randomly for additional screening, at least per TSA.

The only conclusion I can come up with:

1) Profile: solo traveler, male, 30s
2) One way tickets

Other than not traveling by air, which is not a valid option, is there anything I can do to minimize these from happening? It's been happening at least every other trip going through TSA, and frankly, I am getting annoyed. For context, I am an American citizen, and I am a trusted traveler.
