The only conclusion I can come up with:

1) Profile: solo traveler, male, 30s
2) One way tickets

Other than not traveling by air, which is not a valid option, is there anything I can do to minimize these from happening? It's been happening at least every other trip going through TSA, and frankly, I am getting annoyed. For context, I am an American citizen, and I am a trusted traveler.
How/when are you being selected? In all recent cases I can recall when I've been selected, when I walk through the WTMD a tone/signal goes off (that is different from the "person walking through with metal" tone), and it feels like something that is either truly random, or a "once every N passengers" sort of thing.
