It seems as through American is choosing to cancel service to HVN even though Avelo has chosen to initiate a hub in New Haven. This is not a wise move as New Haven is the most underserved airport in the country and soon the runway will be extended 1000 feet.and a new terminal will be built

Why would AA be so foolish with Yale University just a couple miles away and 1 million people in the catchment area ?

Just before the pandemic the 2 HVN-CLT flights were doing quite well with 70% load factors with Republics E175s

American could be the dominant legacy carrier in HVN, while Avelo will have 3 737-700s stationed at the airport
