Just adding my experience -- I had a nine day rental with Hertz in Maine last month. Due to the lack of availability, I had to make one reservation for the second half of the trip and made a second reservation for the first half a few weeks later.

Despite staying in Maine the entire time, I received almost $100 of toll charges to my CC a few days ago from the NJ Turnpike... The first began about four hours after I landed in BHB. It's an eight hour drive, minimum, from BHB to the first NJ toll location they listed. Toll charges continued over the next several days.

PlatePass claims the account has been sent in for review -- anybody have a recent experience with them refunding the charges? I will dispute with my CC if not, though hoping they figure out what is going on. There was a PlatePass device in my vehicle, though it remained within the plastic box throughout the trip and I didn't even touch a toll road in Maine.
