Correct this is what happened. it was a bit messier than this because no one had a clue what happened. I still had my old boarding pass. they at one point gave me someone elses boarding pass, etc. I get the auto rebook if you are certain to miss the connection, but they made the change while i was on flight 1 hours prior. I also had a long connection time, clear and global entry and made it to the gate prior to boarding. Even if i didnt have those i likely would have still made the flight. So yes, maybe it made up time but the estimated time to land really never changed.

long story short they gave me $150.
