I never used to take my wallet out at security, and it never went off.

First trip last week after COVID - metal detector went off due to my wallet. I have a new Canadian metal AmEx platinum, so that may be it, or may the scanners are calibrated differently. I carry a couple US cards that are metal (Chase Sapphire Reserve) and they never caused issues before.
