I would be careful about TripAdvisor, especially if you have higher expectations.

I stayed at Le Meridien March, 2020 right before all of Spain shut down. Location is great on La Rambla with a supermarket around the corner, and Gaudi's Palau Guell (free tickets from Le Meridien) a few blocks away. We did not use the fitness facilities, too busy sightseeing and going to restaurants.

We'll be staying at The Cotton House on our next trip in Feb. Hyatt properties are too far from tourist sights.
