Blue Chip and S&H Green Stamps are much older, dating to the first half of the 20th century. But it's crazy to think about how much has changed in one lifetime. There are probably still people alive who got their AAdvantage accounts when the program first started.
Unfortunately, with the industry re-consolidating, loyalty programs are getting weaker. Who knows whether they will survive, or in what form.
