Cards here earn 2/$ which right away makes me think they're work half what most airline miles are worth -- so about 0.5c - 1c / point.

And looking at hotel rates it seems a hotel that costs in the $100-$200 / night is usually around 15-25k so that seems to be in the .75c-1c / point range.

But I'm not experienced with Marriott rewards and I'm guessing there are better value redemptions at the higher end?

So what do other people calculate as the value of these points?
Floor for Bonvoy points is tied to airline redemptions. Bonvoy points are very versatile for these transfers.

Ceiling can be quite high for very luxurious properties. However, most people are unwilling to pay cash prices for these stays anyway and seldom factor in the opportunity cost of their points.

With all of this in mind, I value Bonvoy points at .7 cents a piece. The earning rates on Bonvoy cards are really not competitive for any category, even Marriott hotel stays.

The best card for Marriott hotel stays is the Chase Sapphire Reserve. 3x back at 1.5 cents each is better than 6x at .7 cents each. Maybe the Amex Platinum can be a good option for booking Marriott fhr bookings if a) the rate is the same as the comparable Virtuoso / STARs rate (not always true) b) FHR stays actually post to Marriott bonvoy accounts and earn EQNs/points (pretty unsure on this)
