Also here at the same time, but I'm checking out in a few minutes.

Also checked in with 3 Amex certificates, and I agree they're still getting their things in order but when I checked in they thanked me for my loyalty (though they didn't say anything about being Diamond).

Also was upgrade to the King Family Jr. Suite, which is very nice, includes a balcony, comfortable bed, separate space that can be partitioned off for kids and other guests - and they brought us fruit and water after we checked in. The resort is fairly large and best experienced with those electric golf carts they have. The pool area is beautiful and they have a tennis court. The sister resort has a nice beach that is easily accessible.

The In Room experience is delightful, the unit feels well designed. There are a few things that could be better like the shower doesn't drain well, the light in the ceiling fan is a garish ugly color, the documentation is lacking (couldn't find the menu for the restaurants, couldn't figure out how to turn off the ceiling fan light, etc).

While it's nice resort it's obvious it's still not operating at 100%, there are a number of rooms/suites that are still under construction.

I did ask about whether breakfast is included as a Diamond member from the front desk and they answered "of course!". When we attended breakfast they never asked what room we're in so I assume that at this time any one who is attending the resort can enjoy the breakfast. This was not the case when we went to have dinner last night, they asked us what room we're in and they brought a check after.

Lastly the staff is incredibly welcoming and eager to please from my experience, but they're just not as experienced as bmrisko noted. They miss details like when we ordered a coke last night at dinner (40 eu pp buffet at the Gea restaurant) it took a very long time for it to be delivered. It's horrible that bmrisko's son got injured but it's not the first time I saw them drop or shatter glass at this restaurant. Again, they're obviously still learning.

Not holding it against them yet, this will be a great resort for Hilton in 2 years time, even better in 10 years when the plants and trees have grown in.
