Metal Credit Cards & Airport Security in Canada
Has anyone else that has the new CIBC Infinite Privilege Card noticed that the metal in the card sets off the x-ray machine which calls for a pat-down from a CATSA agent?
I've so far had this happen at YYZ, YYC and YVR. Nothing else in my pockets but cash and my small wallet with the CIBC card and a couple of extra cards, DL; belt off, shoes not a problem. Never happened before I started carrying this card with me.
Is it not ironic that CIBC would issue a card to frequent travelers that guarantees they get flagged at security every time?
