Also, your'e in Tahiti! I think many people want to start their vacation the right away, which is why the IC is so popular for the first night on Tahiti crowd. I think the Hilton will reach a similar audience.

If I;m arriving at 9pm and departing at 7am I'm not going to have any time to actually enjoy whatever property I stay at. Yes - I've done the walk to the Tahiti Airport Motel multiple times. If one comes in the front one has a reasonably steep climb up some steps and the driveway/street. One can also go around the back (vehicle entrance) which is much smoother but still steep. If one has heavy bags, just grab a cab. The cost (I'd guess $10-20) will still be far less than the additional $200+ cost at either the Hilton
