I have a one night stay booked on points here in a couple weeks. I chose Motif because of the current points rebate on Destination properties and also to check off another brand explorer box. Recent TripAdvisor reviews have me concerned about this property, however. It sounds like the hotel is offering very little in the way of services or amenities "due to covid" and many reviewers complain of stuffy rooms and cleanliness issues. I'm also concerned about having to pull teeth for Globalist upgrades/breakfast/late checkout, etc. I'm seriously considering switching my stay to the HR. I would lose out on the Destination points rebate but I could use a Cat 1-4 instead. I'd also miss out on the brand explorer credit. I'm curious to hear what my fellow FT'ers would do. I've stayed at the HR once before and I loved the modern design and generally new and fresh feel. The Motif sounds pretty disappointing in comparison. Thoughts?
