i usually hand over cash as deposit as I don’t like a pre-authorisation hold on my credit card that can take days if not weeks to drop off after I check out. Many staff don’t cancel the pre-authorisation codes instead just letting it expire on their own.

But I’ve a couple of stays coming up and wondering how much those properties take if I’m to do online check in using mobile app.
