The other thing, besides paperwork, is whether AMEX rep will reach out to rental company to handle the claim and get any necessary documentations from them. I should have no problem providing the Rental Agreement, Photos and (maybe even) Police Reports. However, if the claim process needs itemized list of repairs with cost and loss of use, then I would hope that AMEX will handle that communication as oppose to me getting paperwork from rental company and then me forwarding it to AMEX. This type of service (for me) would tilt toward using and paying for AMEX primary CDW especially when renting internationally (language barrier may be an issue).
