I am flying home to Spain via LHR next month

I will need a test in order to transit LHR.

I was thinking of getting the test at the Denver airport that is available after security.

Question- will BA give me my boarding pass if I don't have the Covid test results? Or will they be cool with it as long as I show the test at the gate before boarding?
