which blacklist? There are three, with different rules

- risk areas
- high risk areas
- areas of variant concern

I think it is very unlikely that the US will end up on the Variant Concern list for Delta given that the homeland of Delta (India) and the mothership of Delta (UK) with presumably about 100% Delta cases and fairly high incident rates have been removed. Germany itself is having Delta as the dominant variant already. The Delta horse has left the barn.

But Delta probably isn’t the last one. There are already other variants that are observed. No one can tell you if and how they will impact travel restrictions later in the year. Plan accordingly.
