Schedule a return test the morning of departure in the US. At worst, some hiccup and you have to take the return test on the ground in Nairobi. Both US tests would be free. Give you an extra day for IROPS.
BTW, Plenty of appointments available at Wallgreenes around Atlanta that can turn the ID-Now test (counts as PCR) in a few hours.
For your return flight to US you can just do quick antigen. Amsterdam does not require any test now for connections.
