Planning to use a single US based PCR for the full RT is very risky. but doable. If it was me though, I would take the PCR test for the outbound a few days before departure to be safe, and then a antigen test when on the ground in Nairobi. These tests are easy most places.

Trying to do it on one test would mean:

Day 0: US test
Day 1: US flight departure
Day 2: NBO arrival
Day 3: NBO departure,

That leaves no room at all for IROPS on either the flight or the test.

OP, you can always take the time to enjoy a few days on the ground over there. Never do understand why runners insist on the immediate return.
