This is why I'll continue to fly primarily JL except to use my SWUs. It's pretty difficult to get cut off in Japan unless you're a royal pr*#k. No way I'm a 1 drink per hour person but usually have however much I care for, watch a movie or 2 minding my own business, and take a nap. Never had an issue on UA during my years there and will be pretty disappointed if AA pulls it. Only had 2 long haul AA flights right before COVID so small sample size but had one FA just automatically hand me doubles (Premium Economy that day) without me asking for it, no hint ever of it being the last though GIG-JFK is a late night flight and slept fairly early into it.
