I think some people think a 45ml vodka is a lot more alcohol than a standard sized beer or a glass of wine but they are actually about the same. I wonder if they would have cut you off after 4 beers or 4 glasses of wine.

The human body can process 1 standard drink per hour typically so 4 drinks in ~3 hours does not seem super excessive. That said, to a non drinker or a light drinker, asking for your 5th drink in 3 hours might seem like a lot - and is probably more than most passengers ask for.

In short, sounds like the FA was overly cautious here assuming your behavior was fine. Probably a better approach would have been to give you the 5th drink and then say they may not be able to serve you again for a while.
