The real chance will be early next year when Dan wants Melbourne to host the AO and the GP. It's unlikely that either will be feasible with the current HQ settings still in place. New South Wales is pretty open about its desire to have the border restrictions gone ASAP, if Victoria joins in on that for their sports events then it'll be all over.
