Agreed....however, my experience has been that AMEX will tell you it's up to Uber to add the credits. Uber's "help center" will give you nonsensical answers to your questions, repeatedly. The last time this happened to me, AMEX chat told me to delete/add the card again.
After three days of runaround from Uber, my account was finally credited....by Uber.
Uber's "help center" was designed by Franz Kafka.
