On the return from WDH, we were supposed to have 1H20min in ADD to connect to the ADD-ORD flight. The plane was late leaving WDH and we ended up with only an hour. We barely made it. Coming off the flight you have to get in line and go through security , X-ray carryons, shoes off, go through metal detector/scanner just to get into the terminal even though you just came off of a plane and haven't left the secure area. There were hundreds of people waiting and had it not been for being in J and using a shorter line we would have been there for hours. Then before boarding the flight to ORD you have to go through security again, X-ray luggage, shoes off, metal detector. There were 2 flights to the US leaving at the same time from the same gates and only one security line open. ADD has got to be one of the worst airports in the world to do an international to international transfer in. It may be a new terminal but it is very dysfunctional.
