My MEX has been cancelled again, and any reschedule this time will take me over a year since booking it. (It was booked in October 2020, for travel in March 2021). Does this affect ticket validity and stuff?

Id rather move it to next year than get the refund as the fare was exceptional (The £999 fares) but im unsure as to whats allowed or how to do it.
