I had a trip booked in first for two of us with the Reserve Companion voucher for April but we couldn't go, due to COVID issues (everyone is fine now). As per routine, the dollars spent on each ticket (full price for me, just taxes for my wife) we put into our accounts as e-credits. The Companion certificate was cancelled, but the info remains in my online account. Questions:
1. Will Delta reinstate my certificate due to COVID issues? Has anyone had success doing this?
2. If this is possible, do I need to call in to make this happen? I tried about a week after our cancelled trip but hold times were many hours. If you have used other ways to contact Delta that have worked to reinstate certificates please let me know.
3. My e-credits were spend on a Delta Amex to use the Companion certificate- can I use this e-credit on a replacement certificate, or is a new charge on my Delta Amex required?
