A related question - how easy or hard is it to transfer from the domestic terminal to Terminal 5, and vice versa? Also how much time does it take? I have an upcoming QR flight but connecting from elsewhere in the USA.
DOM -> INT: You go landside, take the inter-terminal shuttle bus, you wait for the check-in desks to open as most likely AA and AS would not give your INT boarding pass, clear security in T5
INT -> DOM: After picking up your bags at immigration and leaving the hall, there is a transfer counter for AA where you could drop your bags - if you have bags drop them over there, then exit T5 and take the inter-terminal shuttle bus, clear security at T3
The shuttle bus takes about 5-10 mins + wait in both directions.
