This is off topic but I have not seen a single new development (even low/mid income housing) that does not have in-building laundry. Most new developments in Manhattan (and I toured every major development from the past 5 years, even those not UHNW like Related/Extell/Whatever) have in-unit laundry standard. At this point in NYC, you can get a studio for $2k/month with in-unit w/d. With roommates, you can get in-unit w/d for sub $1k a month in Manhattan. I don't really consider it a luxury in the city anymore.

Even old buildings (ie Metropolitan tower) are being retrofitted with in-unit w/d.
