Having lived in New York City apartments for a number of years, it was a rarity to have an in-unit washer/dryer. I was never fortunate enough to have one myself. I was lucky enough to have laundry in my basement… but that still meant you would limit the frequency with which you did laundry. Many dont even have laundry facilities in their building so it’s a trip to a laundromat / a pick up service.

So when I was living out of hotels laundry wasn’t much of an issue. It meant I’d walk to the nearest laundromat to drop of clothes (or have bags picked up from my hotel every few weeks if I was feeling particularly lazy, or expensing it).

if you’re used to having a washer/dryer in your home and doing laundry multiple times a week then it would be an adjustment for sure…

I wouldn’t try to bargain too much for hotel laundry either. It’s so grossly over inflated that even a sizeable discount - like 80% - probably still makes it more expensive than going to a local wash and fold place.

Also, not having to wash towels and sheets significantly cuts down on the volune of laundry you actually need to do.
I lived in an RV for many years. It had a washer/dryer, but I was boondocking most of the time and washed my clothes by hand and hung them outside. I'm pretty much use to it now. As long as I can find a CHEAP safe place to stay monthly, I'm straight.
