Hi, I’m trying to figure out my best options for an earlier flight. EXP, traveling in F on a 3 class transcon on a Web Saver award. I usually see options in the app to standby but not SDC, but I don’t want to spend my day at the airport.

Is it correct that on standby my original seat on the later flight is preserved? So, can I standby for the earlier flight, and if I like my chances head to the airport early, and if I don’t go and miss my name being called at the gate, no harm and I just keep my original later flight?

If I select a standby, will I be able to see the standby list for the flight, so I can determine if it is worth it to head to the airport?

If I select a standby, and later on SDC becomes available, will I be able to still see and select the SDC option? Or once I select the standby am I not presented any more options?
