I did not buy a cheap K fare. FYI, it was Flex U which is one of the highest Flex classes.

I would refuse flying standby. Is AC going to help me if YYZ - YSB is sold out? Probably not.

As for re-booking into Lat fare, FYI, i have been S100K for over 15 years now, and there have been instances where a Flex ticket resulted into a flight cnx, and I was booked into a fulll J. There have also been instances where Flex got re-booked into Flex even with Y1.
