I think the labor shortage is a huge part of the problem. And as long as people are booking, and aren’t saying “enough is enough” what does Marriott care? They get their money regardless.
Has anyone noticed lately even the way they say “thank you for being an elite member” is usually a “by the way” or “someone told me I had to say this”? Very different from even a few years ago when there was a veneer of making you think they cared about your loyalty in that moment.
