I’m connecting at FRA from B22A to A40. Based on the couple of original posts in this thread, it seems like it should be possible to use the AB tunnel to only clear security once.
However, in using the Lufthansa interactive maps I couldn’t find routings that didn’t go through security 2 or 3 times. The default routing uses the train with 2 security checkpoints, while going to B13 (for the tunnel) requires a number of security checkpoints before you get there.
Would appreciate if anyone can share a routing that only has one security check (multiple passport controls are fine as we’ll use the EU gates).
thanks!
Hi
julianschiavo and welcome to FlyerTalk!
If you're arriving to B22 and transferring to A40, there is no way that you could skip security.
The Skyline route does not involve double security, you just board the train, go through security and passport control once you arrive at A.
If you really want to use the tunnel, follow the signs for baggage claim, clear passport control, exit from B baggage claim, go upstairs then clear security at B gates and use the tunnel.
However, if you are not familiar with FRA, it's highly advised that you follow the signposted routes.
