I also took AF001/AF002 a couple of times and it was heavy load.That was the only AF Concorde route from 1992 to 2003.
The benefit for CDG-JFK was that you arrived in JFK circa 8am and had a full day of work in NY. Some pax went there to sign contracts or attend very important meetings and returned by the "normal" evening flights
The benefit of JKF-CDG was to be a day flight that allowed you to have dinner in Paris and a good night sleep.

I had a friend, CEO of a big consulting firm who was ploughing the route to engage potential or existing clients onboard. An expensive alternative to golfing.
